"Emancipating Females" - Myth or Reality

"Eternal optimism" - d punchline entailing the ever-increasing hype about female upliftment against the male dominion...someway down the lane makes me feel that the optimism aint the sufficient and the sole way to be...coupled with it need to be a tinge of awareness and the will yto carve out a useful niche for females...for us....
The modern day newsletters talk about legislative reforms to carve out a space for women...the gender equality...right to independent property, raising the consent of marriage..the new code of laws being a reflection of the general awakening of the women themselves...ample reasons to cheer about..!!! ...On a more subtle thought, its daunting to realise that as we celebrate the female-freedom era across the globe, zillions of women struggle to attain that little space where they can make their own choices. Negotiating through moribund circumstances...the country homes a daunting strata of women getting vindicated and things cant get worse when the offenders go free ! What does that bode for us as women..?? The realisation of being a woman is indeed tiresome. At this moment as we sit here, women araond the world aregiving birth, raising children, cooking meals, running companies...running countries...Yet much of the work doesnt go honoured..thanks to the retrograde...ossified concept of male dominion...
Sometimes I'm provoked to resist the "women" label...
Taking up my own life, I was brought up in a family where I got a "son-akin" feel. Being the elder one in the sibling has its own share of fun....but what about those millions of females who are subjugated to domestic violence, sexual molestation, abuse...If only one could know and share the stories of each of these women, there is no way that any human being would be left untouched and unmoved. I guess its upto us if we want to be touched by the larger realities of life or not.
Whether we anything or no, things will change...But , can we hasten that change...and be the change that we wanna witness in the world...??

In Retrospect...

Adios!!....treadin a bland n mundane schedule ...here m I to try ma hand in d bloggin' arena...so lets start d bash...being a typical college'ite , life here tends to revolve bou d collg ongoings...core syllabus studies jst being d last thing in ma head...d past few yrs hav instilled a hell lot of changes in ma being..which indeed gave me n insight of d world outside d cozy comfort zone.. with a futile xistence pushin' me into a self realisation mode...m bound to think bou d impendin life struggle ahead...d pathway to future is hazy...m I soundin' a way too philosophical...!! bunkin' dat...d collg days r indeed fun filled...though ma collg isnt a high profile insti...yet I enjoy vry bit of ma xistence in here...d only quest being balancin' d core studies wit fun...! ...a big time tough job if u ask me...Can nybody come to ma rescue...???
